OBA History

Basketball started in Oman from Saidiya School in Muscat which was established in the year 1940, where the game was practiced by the school’s teachers and some students. Moreover, it was practiced by the military, visiting navy members, and the foreign doctors / medical staff of Al Saada American Hospital & Al Rahma Hospital in Matrah.

مشاركة نائب رئيس الاتحاد د. علي اليعربي عضو لجنة ثلاثيات كرة السلة الآسيوية وعضو اللجنة الفنية لبطولة ثلاثيات كرة السلة في دورة الألعاب الخليجية الأولى للشباب ٢٧-٢٨ أبريل الجاري في اجتماع اللجنة الفنية للبطولة حيث تم اعتماد جدول المباريات وألوان قمصان المنتخبات وأهلية اللاعبين.

ويعقبها منتخبنا (ب) مع الكويت، ثم منتخبنا (أ) مع السعودية.
ويعقبها مباريات الشباب بلقاء منتخبنا (أ) مع قطر، تليها منتخبنا (ب) مع الكويت، تليها منتخبنا (أ) مع سلطنة عمان، تليها منتخبنا (ب) مع السعودية، ثم قطر مع عمان، والكويت مع السعودية.
